The commitment to animal welfare
We are very aware of our responsibility towards animals and we make special efforts to live up to this great responsibility with respect and commitment.
All Swiss meat meets at least the QM Suisse Garantie quality label. We are committed to short transport routes, humane animal husbandry and feeding, and compliance with strict animal welfare legislation.
Cooperation
Bigler AG actively seeks collaboration with producers who are committed to special programs such as BTS (particularly animal-friendly housing) and RAUS (permanent outdoor access).
Specifically, Bigler AG is a driving force behind the "Buurehof" program. The program implements new animal welfare standards that far exceed legal requirements. It also promotes fair cooperation with farmers.
When it comes to beef, we offer a high-quality program with our "Bigler ROYAL Beef," which focuses on beef breeds raised extensively in hilly and mountainous areas. A significant portion of our veal comes from small-scale fattening, reared on the farm itself, with milk from our own barn.
